I'm having issues with battery charging and my Windows 7. When booting, the battery is detected in BIOS and charging (charge light is glowing, not blinking). As soon as the computer boots off my HDD and Windows loads, the charge light starts to blink, indicating that the battery is not charging. In Windows, the battery meter displays 'no battery detected' or 'plugged in and not charging'.
At first I thought my battery was simply getting old, but out of accident I forgot to plug the AC adapter in and the computer ran off the battery for ~1.5h, even though Windows didn't recognise a battery. This still applies, which I haven't found a solution to yet.
If you find my comment helpful or if it answers your question, please mark it as such. You need to be able to interact with the machine you are installing on so it needs a graphics card which I don't believe your MediaSmart has or use one of the workarounds available by doing an internet search. To install WHS2011 on a PC, you need to boot the machine you want to install it on from the WHS2011 Installation disk (which is what you saw when you used it on your client machine) - it is not like a WHS1 installation from a client PC with a special disk provided by your system builder. Hp clean install windows 8.
I've tried running the hardware off another Win7 copy and the same thing happens. I haven't had time to try Linux or WinXP yet, since I own neither. Epson lx 300+ii driver for windows 7 64-bit. I've also tried uninstalling the ACPI Battery Control in the Device Manager, but without success.
Any suggestions would be great, as I haven't found any forum posts similar to this.

Hey everyone,
I have a HP Pavilion dv7-1130eg running Vista Home Premium 32-bit.
The problem is that my battery is not detected by the PC. When the problem started, it just said, something like 'CONNECTED, NOT CHARGING' and it was at 0% (sorry if my translations aren't fully correct, I have the Slovak language pack loaded in Vista)
We went to a bunch of electro-shops and service centers and everybody said that the battery is broken. Except at one, they said that MAYBE the computer has something broken so that it can't charge the battery.
Then after a few days..it went changed to 'NO BATTERY DETECTED' and no longer was, 'connected, not charging'.
So what am I supposed to do? HP Battery Check says that there is no battery inside and so does Windows, but PC Wizard 2012 says that there is a battery charged at 255% inside..yeah..255%
I did turn the PC off disconnected it from every thing and took out the battery and held the power button for 30 seconds..nothing!
I did reset the BIOS to defaults..nothing!
I did try to turn on the PC on only battery power..didn't turn on, obviously!
I didn't try to update the BIOS yet.
I hate HP Notebooks..aside from this, it overheats and is extremely laggy (I guess the speed is affected by Vista).
Please help me, thanks.
